TinyTap is an Israeli EdTech company with a mission to revolutionize the creation and distribution of interactive educational content through user-generated content (UGC). The company’s core business model is built around a no-code platform, which enables educators to create and share interactive educational content. The platform offers more than 250,000 interactive lessons and educational games in 24 languages as of May 2023, created by publishers such as Oxford University Press, The Learning Company, Sesame Street, and 100,000+ other publishers and independent contributors. The platform is mainly geared towards young learners from pre-kindergarten to grade 6, but the company is working on expanding its offerings to learners of all ages. As of May 2023, more than 20 million learners worldwide have used the platform.

TinyTap's business model includes a paid subscription for families and students who use their app to learn, as well as a freemium tier with limited content access. Subscription profits are shared with content creators and determined by the engagement their content generates.

The firm claimed to be the world’s largest collection of educational games created by teachers. Additionally, it was reported that the company is one of the top ten highest-grossing kids apps globally, and its educational content is available to families in North America, Europe, and Arab countries.

In June 2022, Animoca Brands, a company specializing in the development and publishing of blockchain-based and traditional games, acquired TinyTap. The acquisition was made with the intention of creating a new business segment focused on UGC on the blockchain.

Funding and financials

In April 2023, the company raised USD 8.5 million in a funding round led by Sequoia China. It planned to use the funds to accelerate product development and hire additional staff.

From 2019 to April 2022, TinyTap's reported revenue amounted to USD 17.6 million.
