Hub Security (HUB) is an Israeli data privacy startup that provides cybersecurity and confidential computing solutions aimed at protecting sensitive commercial and government information. Founded by members of the 8200 and 81 elite intelligence units of the Israeli Defense Forces, HUB has developed advanced encrypted computing solutions for the prevention of hostile intrusions at the hardware level along with a novel set of theft prevention solutions.

HUB provides a range of cybersecurity hardware and services including HUB’s main solution, confidential computing, which encrypts data in rest, in transit, or while in use. Other services offered by the company include threat modeling, cyber risk mitigation, secured cloud workspace, safety and reliability management, governance, risk & compliance (GRC), and incident response, focusing on heavily regulated industries such as finance, insurance, and healthcare.

In February 2021, HUB merged with Israeli software and consultancy company ALD Advanced Logistics Development Ltd by acquiring a 51% stake in the company. HUB planned on leveraging ALD’s established sales infrastructure and clientele to drive its growth. Furthermore, in September 2021, HUB acquired cybersecurity company Comsec Global for NIS 70 million (~USD 19.4 million). Through this acquisition, HUB was able to expand its global sales and distribution network by 40+ countries, along with doubled revenue potential and increased penetration of cybersecurity solutions to global enterprises.

Formerly listed on the Tel Aviv stock exchange, HUB Security merged with special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Mount Rainier Acquisition Corp. in February 2023 and transitioned to trading on the Nasdaq stock exchange. As of April 2024, HUB had an employee headcount of 600+ employees spanning over 30 countries.

Key customers and partnerships

As of March 2023, HUB had an extensive list of partnerships with cybersecurity solution providers, edge computing companies, AI/ML focused solution providers, and more. In September 2022, HUB won a tender contract worth NIS 4.2 million (~USD 1.2 million) from the Israeli Department of Defense for the provision of services over the course of the following three years. Furthermore, in March 2023, HUB announced a public cloud and data privacy solution aimed at Google Cloud that leverages HUB’s technologies. Developed in collaboration with Google, this solution provides scalable and high-fidelity confidential computing solutions for both small and large organizations alike.

In August 2024, HUB Security partnered with enterprise AI vendor BlackSwan Technologies to co-develop and showcase innovative secured data fabric solutions.
