SaliCrop is an Israeli company that develops seed treatments to boost abiotic resilience against extreme climate conditions, increase crop yield, and improve quality without resulting in any residue from fresh produce. Sali-Crop develops non-genetically modified organism (non-GMO) pre-planting applications that do not alter soil consistency or quality.
SaliCrop’s technology, which has been refined after conducting over 200 field trials, employs a unique formula composed of organic and physiological compounds vital for supporting plant growth. The formula plays a crucial role in the plant's ability to integrate diverse stress signals while exerting control over subsequent stress responses, which is achieved by regulating the plant's gene expression machinery.
SaliCrop’s seed technology has demonstrated a variety of crop yield increases, under stress conditions like extreme temperatures, water scarcity, and soil salinity, as follows: 10%–15% for wheat, 18% for onion, 7%–14% for bell pepper and chili, 32% for capsicum, 25% for alfalfa, 14%–25% in rice, and 16%–40% for processed tomatoes.
Key customers and partnerships
SaliCrop has taken on several partners for tomato seed treatment projects across various countries including Kagome in June 2023 in Senegal, Tata in Turkey, and Bayer in India.
