Israel-based Flow (formerly WalkOut) offers a smart cart (equipped with an on-cart touchscreen) that identifies items placed into or removed from the shopping cart or basket using machine learning, cameras, and computer vision. The company aims to increase consumer engagement and purchases by offering customers personalized suggestions, store navigation, supplementary product information, and customized promotions based on the shopper’s history and location in the store via the on-cart screen.
Flow also offers a computer vision-powered self-checkout device that can be retrofitted into existing self-checkout solutions, named “FlowSCO.” It also provides “FlowStore,” a machine-learning-powered store analytics solution that provides insights and dashboards related to shopper activities and optimizing store operations.
It also provides an analytics tool to improve the retailer’s understanding of stores, shoppers, and real-time purchases.
