Canadian company Equispheres offers materials for additive manufacturing (AM), targeting automotive, aviation, space, defense, and semiconductor industries. Its product portfolio comprises spherical metal powders and metal spray coating applications that use patent-pending atomization technology. Equispheres offers solutions to ease new customers into using its products by guiding them to integrate the powder into their existing production systems. According to the company, by using their material, part production costs could be reduced by around 50% while improving the dimensional accuracy of parts by around 50% and the speed of printing by 4x.
Key customers and partnerships
In April 2022, Equispheres entered a strategic partnership with Japan’s Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation (TNSC) to jointly improve the economics and quality of additively manufactured parts in the Japanese market. Equispheres has also partnered with German AM company Aconity3D to use Equispheres’ material with the latter’s AM machines and to distribute powders to its customers.
