Imperative Care is a MedTech company that has developed a stroke solution. Imperative Care's ZOOM stroke solution facilitates care across the entire ischemic stroke procedure, from access through clot capture, designed to enable physicians to achieve complete clot removal and full reperfusion of the target vessel within 10 minutes. It features specialized access catheters, a pump, and accessories to evaluate and suck clots out.
Imperative Care expanded its focus beyond stroke care to developing treatments for other ischemic diseases like pulmonary embolism and peripheral vascular disease. The company has restructured into four business units: Imperative Care Stroke for interventional stroke treatments, Imperative Care Vascular for vascular disease treatments, Kandu Health (launched in February 2023) for digital health solutions supporting stroke recovery, and Telos Health for robotics and automation to optimize vascular interventions.
In 2021, Imperative Care acquired Truvic Medical, a wholly-owned subsidiary called “Imperative Care Vascular.” This subsidiary offers two FDA-cleared products: The Symphony thrombectomy system for venous applications and the Prodigy thrombectomy system for peripheral arterial applications, designed to remove a wide range of clots in the peripheral arteries and veins.
