Petabyte Technology (Petabyte) operates a SaaS-based veterinary services platform that provides practice management solutions for veterinarians. It covers a gamut of use cases within veterinary practices such as billing, inventory, and prescriptions. Its solutions also include an analytics platform, which can be used as a standalone tool or in conjunction with its practice management product (“Rhapsody”), and a mobile client companion app that facilitates appointment scheduling and virtual check-ins (“Boop”). The app also provides access to medical records and wellness plans.
Petabyte entered a partnership with National Veterinary Associates (NVA), an operator of more than 1,000 veterinary hospitals and pet resorts across North America, Australia, and Singapore, in August 2021. As part of the arrangement, the two companies revealed plans to collaborate on the development of cloud-based software for veterinary practices. The company announced the Petabyte Consortium in August 2021, with participation from veterinary groups including the National Veterinary Associates (NVA), easyvet, and the EU-based UNAVETS. The consortium was formed to build software and set a global standard in handling data and workflows for veterinary practices.
Petabyte raised USD 15 million in a Series B funding round in September 2021. The round included participation from NVA, UNAVETS, and Norwest Ventures Partners. The fresh funds are expected to be allocated toward the company’s growth initiatives and establishing partnerships.
