The solution combines Q2’s core processing system for banking-as-a-service (BaaS) and Moven’s financial wellness tech, to enable credit unions, and community and regional banks to compete with digital banks.Moven also offers support for financial institutions to roll out their digital banking products especially due to the Covid-19 led surge in digital banking use. For instance, in May 2021, it partnered with LemonadeLXP (a platform to deliver digital fluency amongst frontline staff and customers) to help financial institutions’ support staff and customers migrate to digital banking.Moven’s CFO Rich Radice transitioned to the role of CEO in May 2021 and will mainly be tasked with enhancing value for existing customer relationships, focusing on modern modes of enterprise software delivery, and increasing the speed of business growth.

UK-based 10x Future Technologies (10x) was founded by former Barclays CEO Antony Jenkins and offers the technical infrastructure to help banks modernize operations to face the threat from neobanks. With its “SuperCore” cloud-based, software-as-a-service (SaaS) bank operating platform that can be integrated into microservices using application programming interfaces (APIs), 10x offers solutions ranging from core banking to payments, mortgages, and analytics, and primarily caters to the banks’ retail and SME customers. 10x also helps legacy banks migrate their core data to extensible modern systems and its clients include the global financial institution Nationwide and Australia’s oldest bank, Westpac. In June 2021, it reported that it was delivering its infrastructure to multiple other global banks and was also engaged in a greenfield transformation project that allows banks to build new brands or extend their brands into new geographies by building infrastructure from scratch. In June 2021, the company raised USD 187 million in a Series C funding round co-led by BlackRock and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board at a valuation of around USD 700 million. 10x earmarked the funds for expanding its geographic presence into new locations including North America as well as further development of its platform.

 Zip Co is an Australian BNPL service provider offering both B2C and B2B solutions. The platform&rsquo;s B2C products are Zip Pay and Zip Money. Zip Pay is designed for transactions between AUD 250 and AUD 1,000 (approximately USD 185 and USD 735). Zip Money is marketed for larger ticket purchases (i.e. over AUD 1,000/USD 735) with a three-month interest-free period and flexible terms afterward. Zip Co charges merchants a transaction fee of AUD 0.3 plus GST and a fixed merchant fee. For customers, it charges a one-off establishment fee of AUD 25 (approximately USD 18) and upward at the sign-up stage, 19.9% interest after the three-month interest-free period, and an account service fee of AUD 6 (approximately USD 5) for late payments.
