Rand McNally

Rand McNally, acquired by the private equity firm TELEO Capital in October 2020, offers maps, navigation, road travel, and trip planning devices and services. It offers three models of devices and apps, “OverDryve,” “DriverConnect,” and “TND” for long-haul truck drivers.

Its OverDryve and TND devices feature a truck navigation system with the weather, traffic, lane guidance, toll costs, fuel logs, and fuel prices based on the routes taken. Its DriverConnect app allows drivers to log hours of service, complete driver vehicle inspection reports, send messages to fleet managers, purchase fuel, and access a customizable gauge dashboard with information such as average fuel economy, gallons per hour, battery voltage, coolant temperature, etc.

In April 2022, Rand McNally acquired Australian connected vehicle platform Fleetsu for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition will complement its offerings and help Rand McNally fleet customers to access real-time on-road data to obtain insights into areas such as driver location and safety, engine performance, and efficiency.
