The company’s 24-hour primary care services are available via a mobile app and include prescription renewal, a digital treatment program for high blood pressure, and virtual consultations for skin problems, infections, and mental health concerns. It charges SEK 100 (USD 11.4) per virtual visit for an adult with a doctor or psychologist, while all nurse visits are free. Additionally, it provides vaccinations at 60 pharmacies across the country through its partnership with Apoteket AB. Platform24 develops digital support services, offering a full-suite telemedicine platform for acute and chronic conditions. It claims to be the largest company providing automatic triage in the Nordic region and its customers include healthcare providers and insurance companies. Platform24 conducted 80,000 automatic patient interviews and had 3.4 million covered lives as of September 2021.
The company’s latest funding round took place in May 2021 where it raised EUR 40 million (USD 48 million) in a venture funding round led by Patricia Industries and Apoteket and the new funds will be used to expand into several markets in Europe as well as to build out its online platform. The company also plans to fast-track its product development in chronic care.
