The round was led by a consortium of individual investors and the funds were allocated for platform development. In addition, the company wants to start marketing its platform to video game studios to run tournaments on eGoGames.

Stakester is a platform for gamers to compete against one another for cash prizes. The platform was launched in May 2020 and is currently available in 38 US states, the UK, and Singapore. As of November 2020, the platform has more than 15,000 users.
