Founded in 2017, Squigl provides an AI-based animation engine and content authoring platform that allows academic, corporate, and learning professionals to create video and course content. Since its founding, the company has been part of the Microsoft for Startups program, and is a Microsoft Education specialist and partner organization. Squigl is used by government entities, educational institutions, and businesses across 180 countries, and boasts millions of users.

The company entered into a go-to-market partnership with Midpoint Technology Group, a provider of system integration solutions, in October 2021, to promote the deployment of Squigl in the Baltimore Metro region.
