Sailthru is an email marketing campaign automation solution, specializing in managing large-scale marketing campaigns. The platform provides a number of automation tools to plan, manage, and execute customer journeys. The features of Sailthru’s system include 1) providing a single view of customer profiles; 2) marketing automation and personalization systems across email, mobile, and web; and 3) a data analytics suite for customer lifecycle optimization. Sailthru’s platform makes use of AI to provide insights and predictions, and in April 2021, its capabilities were further enhanced to include a “Lifecycle Optimizer,” allowing for more personalized engagement with customers.
The platform also includes several integrations to extend marketing campaign reach to include channels such as social media, direct mail, loyalty programs among others. In June 2021, the firm launched an exclusive integration with its sister company Liveclicker, which is a platform for real-time email personalization for B2C marketers.
In January 2019, the firm, together with Liveclicker, was acquired by Campaign Monitor, an email marketing platform, for an undisclosed amount. However, the firm continues to operate as a stand-alone platform given the different market segments they cater to. At the time of the acquisition, it was reported that the deal would bring in an additional USD 60 million in revenue and 540 new customers for Campaign Monitor.

As of October 2021, the majority of Sailthru’s customers are media and retail brands including NASCAR, Morning Brew, Conde Nast, and Hearst.
