Minneapolis-based Visana Health is a specialized telemedicine provider that offers virtual care services for women via an app. The app includes functions such as symptom tracking, care navigation, and personalized care plans. The company’s services are carried out by OBGYNs, women’s health nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care navigators. The program consists of four pillars of integrated care, pelvic floor physical therapy, education, nutrition and mental health support.
Visana Health operates both on a B2B2C basis, where it works with enterprise clients to provide its services to employees, and on a D2C basis.
Funding and financials
In August 2023, Visana raised USD 10.1 million in a seed funding round co-led by Flare Capital Partners and Frist Cressey Ventures, along with participation from other venture capital firms. The raised funds were set aside to expand Visana’s market presence and business operations. Post-funding, the principal at Flare Capital Partners, Margaret Malone, and the principal at Frist Cressey Ventures, Olivia Capra, joined Visana’s board of directors.
