Elektra Health is a female technology (femtech) startup, which offers evidence-based telehealth services for managing perimenopause and menopause symptoms. The platform requires users to complete a short health questionnaire that records symptoms and user goals, followed by a 30-minute one-on-one video consultation with a specialist. Users receive a personalized treatment plan built with individual preferences and access to community support. At a cost of USD 199 for a period of 30 days, members will get unlimited support and guidance via text messages. As of July 2021, the company had over 1,800 participants on its private beta launch, and the program will be available to the public in 2022.
Funding and financials
In February 2024, Elektra raised USD 3.3 million in a funding round led by UPMC Enterprises, along with participation from Wavemaker 360 and other venture capital firms. The company planned to use the newly raised capital to broaden its evidence-based care delivery platform across payers, self-insured employers, and new markets. Post funding, Kathryn Heffernan from UPMC Enterprises and Dr. Monica Jain from Wavemaker 360 joined Elektra's Board of Directors.
