New York-based Juno Medical provides both in-person and virtual healthcare services, including primary care, pediatrics, women’s health, and same-day care. Patients are also able to consult care team members via Juno’s patient portal “Onpatient.” The company operates both on a pay-per-visit basis as well as a subscription basis while accepting most health plans. Its subscription plans include both individual and family rates (USD 20 and USD 50 respectively), with subscribers getting access to savings with other local establishments and access to community events.
Funding and financials
In December 2022, the company raised USD 12 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Julian Eison, managing partner at NEXT VENTURES, and professional tennis player Serena Williams, managing partner at Serena Ventures, along with participation from other venture capital firms. The raised funds were set aside to increase the geographical footprint of Juno’s clinics into three new cities; Atlanta, Tulsa, and Los Angeles. The funding was also earmarked to develop the company’s online patient platform further.
