Pathzero is an Australian carbon management company focused on financing emissions in private investment portfolios. The company provides an online platform, Pathzero Navigator, as a carbon reporting and analysis tool created specifically for financial institutions to measure and disclose their CO2 emissions. Pathzero also integrates a SaaS product with virtual on-demand sessions with industry experts.

Customers can set carbon emissions targets in the software and perform scenario analysis. The platform integrates global standards like the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF).

Key customers and partnerships

In August 2022, Pathzero partnered with Antler to provide carbon measurement insights. In April 2023, Pathzero collaborated with Advent Partners to integrate ESG metrics and KPIs for their portfolio companies and investors. In June 2023, the company partnered with ROC Partners to manage the emissions in the latter’s investment portfolios to provide carbon information to stakeholders.

Private equity firms such as StepStone, Hesta, and Carthona Capital are the company's key customers. As of February 2024, the company had tracked 142 million tons of CO2 emissions, and expects to scale up to 1 billion tons.

Funding and financials

The company’s most recent funding round was in December 2022, when it raised AUD 8.6 million (USD 5.3 million) in a Series A+ round led by Carthona Capital, with participation from Clyde Bank Holdings and Antler. In October 2021, Pathzero received USD 5 million in an investment round also led by Carthona Capital.
