Simulation Tech Personalises Retail Experience for a Better Product Match
Fashion, beauty, and furniture retail, in their present form both offline and online, does not adequately meet consumer demand for personalised product choices and convenience. Consumers purchasing fashion and beauty products experience physical discomfort when queuing for fitting rooms and redressing multiple times trialling clothes. They may also face hygiene concerns when fitting on products already trialled by others. In addition, in fashion, beauty, and furniture retail, consumers may receive inadequate assistance with product information when they require it. These issues can culminate in purchases that do not fully match their individual preferences. The concept of virtual personalisation addresses this issue. Virtual personalisation is the use of simulation technology such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) to give consumers an immersive, personalised experience to find products tailored to their requirements.
