Sustainable Finance: investing with a purpose
Sustainability—once a buzzword but now a staple in almost every aspect of life; having a sustainable solution has become a core consideration, especially over the last decade. Climate change (quite nature-ally) takes the lead in the effort to create a more sustainable future, while social movements, spurred by ideologies that align with equitable and ethical values, are also in the formula for a better tomorrow.
By now, promoting sustainability to minimize the adverse effects on the environment and society is well known. But these sustainable solutions cannot materialize without viable and sufficient funding. Sustainable finance is a shift toward kinder, greener investments, and we want to know how this financial ecosystem works. So, in this article, we try to understand what sustainable finance entails, what is driving it, the different forms of investment pathways offered, and also look at startups that are transforming the sustainable finance landscape.
