Nala Robotics to open "world's first" AI-powered robotic restaurant

Product updates

  • Nala Robotics announced its plans to open the world's first AI-powered robotic restaurant with machine learning capabilities in Naperville, Illinois, in April 2021.

  • The company claims that the robotic kitchen can replicate dishes from any type of cuisine using authentic recipes. In fact, Nala will offer diverse menus for the debut: pizza, burgers, chicken wings, and seven international cuisines: Italian, Thai, Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Mediterranean, and Portuguese.

  • Customers can also subscribe to a meal plan via the app to get fresh prepackaged meals delivered daily. Customizable orders can be placed according to customer preferences and dietary requirements. Users can place orders via the Nala App, upon which the robot starts preparing the customized orders. In addition, it can prepare prepackaged foods that can be sold at local grocery stores, restaurants, and convenience stores.

  • The company plans to open its second restaurant in Elgin, Illinois, in May 2021.
