Seedo Corp builds a new indoor farm to expand vertical production of saffron

Partnerships

  • Seedo Corp, an Israeli hydroponic-based vertical farming technology company, has announced its plans to construct a new state-of-the-art vertical indoor saffron farm in Mavki'in, Israel.

  • The facility is three times the size of the initial facility in Ganot, Israel with advanced growing equipment and comprises eight different rooms to grow saffron under various growing conditions. The new facility is expected to be completed in Q12022 with plans to go operational by the end of 2022.

  • Seedo Corp’s Israel subsidiary Saffron Tech has already completed two harvests of saffron on its farm in Ganot, Israel. With the new facility, the company plans to execute the third harvest by tripling annual saffron production to be served in industries such as culinary, pharmaceutical, and beauty. The new facility is further expected to expand Seedo Corp’s presence from Central Israel to South Israel.
