Vecow, a Taiwanese edge AI device manufacturer, has partnered with Hailo, an edge AI microprocessor manufacturer, to embed the “Hailo-8” AI accelerator into Vecow’s next-gen ABP-3000 AI computing system.
By utilizing Hailo’s chips, the ABP-3000 should be able to run sophisticated deep learning applications that are typically only run on the cloud. Accordingly, the system can cater to a range of industries, including automotive, robotic control, public safety, etc.
Hailo produces artificial intelligence-focused microprocessors (Hailo-8 family) that deliver data center performance on the edge. This enables devices to perform deep learning tasks such as real-time object detection and segmentation. It can be deployed in many smart machines and devices and used across various sectors, including the automotive industry, industry 4.0, smart cities, and smart homes, among others.
