Multiplier, a Singapore-based remote hiring platform, has raised USD 4 million in a funding round led by Sequoia Capital India’s Surge. The round included the participation of Golden Gate Ventures, MS&AD Ventures, Picus Capital, and angel investors.
The fresh funds will be funneled toward accelerating Multiplier’s presence in the region and adding more features to the platform, enabling businesses to scale across the APAC region and access a wider talent pool, saving both time and cost.
Founded in 2020, Multiplier claims to be APAC’s first professional employer organization platform for managing payroll and compliance for international teams. The company has established legal entities either by setting up the infrastructure or through partnerships in 100 markets as of July 2021. It assists businesses in reducing the cost of cross-border employment by offering hiring services, such as local labor law compliance, labor contracts, payroll, benefits, and taxes. It facilitates hiring employees and contractors by charging USD 200 per employee and USD 40 per contractor per month.
