Loop Energy, a Canadian developer of hydrogen fuel cell modules and stacks for vehicle OEMs and power generation system manufacturers, has been awarded USD 9.75 million by the Government of Canada through Pacific Economic Development Canada’s (PacifiCan) Jobs and Growth Fund.
The proceeds will be utilized to scale up Loop Energy’s hydrogen fuel cell stacks production capacity at its manufacturing facility in Burnaby, Canada.
The company will receive the funding over three years, starting from 2022 to 2025, as an interest-free loan, and repayment will begin from 2025 onwards.
