80 Acres Farms announced that it would strengthen its partnership with Kroger by placing its fresh produce in 316 Kroger stores across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.

80 Acres Urban Agriculture (known as 80 Acres Farms) was founded by Mike Zelkind and Tisha Livingston to produce greens, herbs, and other vegetables for nearby restaurants and grocery stores, including Whole Foods Market, Kroger, and others. Its products can also be purchased online. The company’s primary goal is to sell affordable local foods that can be consumed within one day after harvest. 80 Acres Farms currently operates eight facilities (in Arkansas, Alabama, North Carolina, New York, and Ohio). The company’s facilities in Hamilton, Ohio, are high-tech and equipped with its proprietary technology.
