Senior care platform Serenity Engage has partnered with Amazon to integrate its offerings with Amazon’s senior living solution Alexa Smart Properties. This partnership comes hot on the heels of the company raising USD 1.2 million in a venture round earlier in the week.
By combining Serenity’s HIPAA-compliant messaging platform with Alexa’s voice AI and video technology, the solution will serve as a digital attendant that can assist with tasks such as making calls, setting appointments and reminders, and being able to access caregivers.
The integration is aimed at further refining the engagement effectiveness of Serenity’s chat platform, which enables communication between providers, care teams, older adults, and family members. The company believes it can also lead to reducing strain on caregiving staff, increasing independence for seniors, providing accessibility with challenges, and ensuring a smooth transition of information between involved parties.
