Urban-gro, a Colorado-based vertical farming company offering fully integrated indoor CEA facilities for food and cannabis production, has opened a new indoor vertical farm at Bruce Randolph High School in Denver in partnership with Teens for Food Justice (TFFJ), a youth-led movement providing hydroponic farming solutions for food security.
This farm is TFFJ’s first school-based vertical farm in Colorado, which is built with an aim to educate youth aged 12–18 about health and nutritional aspects and how to operate vertical farms while also being a source of food for local communities and students in the school.
