Argent, a DeFi wallet provider, raised USD 40 million in Series B funding co-led by Fabric Ventures and Metaplanet with participation from Paradigm, Index Ventures, Creandum, Starkware, Jump Crypto, and Animoca Brands. This round brings the company’s total funding to USD 56.2 million.
The funds will primarily be used to accelerate the company’s product development, which includes adding functionality for crypto games, such as infrastructure for onboarding new players and signing in-game transactions. The rest will be used to build out Argent’s services in Latin America (starting in Mexico) and hire new employees across the legal, finance, and treasury management functions. Additionally, Argent will also look to hire a research team focused on Layer 2 protocols.
