Splitit introduces white-label BNPL solution

Product updates

  • Splitit has unveiled “Installments-as-a-Service” which is a white-labeled BNPL solution for merchants. The new solution is expected to give more control to the merchant by promoting brand consistency and customer loyalty.

  • “Installments-as-a-Service” will be available as an API and embedded into the merchant’s existing checkout process. In the first phase of implementation, Splitit will target acquirers, merchants, and independent software vendors in the US. It intends to scale globally eventually.

  • Splitit also revealed that university e-commerce platform OCM, an existing client, will be the first to adopt its white-label solution beginning in Q3 2022.

Analyst QuickTake: Splitit having competed in the B2B and B2C BNPL categories now diversifies its solution into the infrastructure segment, which is considered the least populated segment in the BNPL space. This could be attributed to retailers’ preference to take advantage of the BNPL brand’s presence at the expense of establishing their own brands.
