ITM Power receives GBP 9.3 million for gigastack testing

Funding

  • ITM Power, a London Stock Exchange-listed hydrogen energy solutions developer, was awarded GBP 9.3 million (USD 11.6 million) by the UK Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

  • The funds will be used for the commercial deployment of ITM Power’s five-megawatt gigastack testing platform. The new gigastack is 2.5x bigger than ITM Power’s current platform.

  • The gigatest will support the deployment and validation of manufacturing equipment at ITM Power’s existing Gigafactory and its second automated facility, which is expected to start construction later this year. The validation process will also support the mass production of semi-automated electrolyzer stacks.
