UK-based drone logistics company Skyports has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Singapore's multi-purpose cargo port Jurong Port to explore the possibility of developing the necessary infrastructure for drone-based ship-to-shore delivery services at the port.
As per the deal, the companies will jointly analyze feasibility and construct infrastructure development plans for the purpose. Necessary delivery trials will be conducted alongside the ongoing port operations.
Skyports also noted that it would work closely with relevant public and private sector organizations and regulatory bodies to establish rules and regulations necessary for the adoption of drone-based cargo delivery at scale.

Furthermore, UK-based peer startup Malloy Aeronautics has also trialed drone-based ship-to-shore delivery simulations in partnership with defense sector organizations in the US. US-based startup A2Z Drone Delivery also develops drones for various applications including ship-to-shore deliveries.</ul>
