Apricity, a UK-based virtual fertility clinic, has acquired Woom, a Spain-based period and fertility monitoring and tracking app, for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in 2015, Woom offers an app that leverages AI to offer pregnancy and menopausal support. Woom also has a community of women, where users can connect with each other to advise and support each other. Woom started at Google for Startups and expanded with the support and mentoring of accelerator programs including SeedRocket, Google Campus Residency, and TheVentureCity. Woom serves more than 1.8 million global users, who have registered over 156,000 pregnancies to date.
Woom will boost Apricity’s fertility offerings to assist throughout all the stages of pregnancy. The acquisition will also help Apricity to accelerate its international expansion beyond France and the UK and increase its lead generation, user engagement, and AI optimization.
