Mindfulness and cognition platform Tripp has raised USD 11.2 million in a Series A funding round led by BITKRAFT Ventures, along with participation from new investors such as the Amazon Alexa Fund, HTC, and Niantic as well as existing investor Mayfield. This brings the total funds raised by the company to USD 26.2 million.
The funds will be used to expand its team and to build technologies that support wellbeing in the metaverse.
The company has also announced that it has acquired Eden, a VR-based world-building video game created by developer BeardedEye, in order to create community-driven experiences in the mindful metaverse. This acquisition will enable greater customizability of Tripp’s solution, explore artworks and soundscapes, and connect with users from all geographic regions. The acquisition marks Tripp’s second acquisition so far this year and follows the acquisition of EvolVR, a live VR meditation community, in January 2022.
