Siemens, a provider of industrial automation and systems integration solutions, has announced the acquisition of UK-based predictive maintenance software provider Senseye to expand its portfolio for digital enterprise services. Senseye became a 100% subsidiary of Siemens on June 1, 2022.
With the acquisition, Senseye has become a part of Siemens Digital Industries and part of the Customer Services Business Unit.
Siemens expects to utilize Senseye’s AI-based predictive maintenance technology to offer flexible solutions to its customers.
Siemens’ digital industries software is offered through the Xcelerator, an integrated portfolio of software, services, and applications with the aim of achieving synchronization between manufacturing, engineering, and service operations. The portfolio helps companies leverage digital twin technologies, enabling innovation through insights and automation solutions.

The market also seems to be going through a consolidation phase, which recorded several acquisitions this year including Augury’s acquisition of Seebo last month and SparkCognition’s acquisition of Integration Wizards in March.</ul>
