Vanta raises USD 110 million in Series B funding and achieves unicorn status

Funding

  • Vanta, an automated security and compliance startup, has raised USD 110 million in Series B funding at a USD 1.6 billion valuation. The round was led by Craft Ventures with participation from Sequoia, Y Combinator, and other existing investors. Vanta’s total funding now stands at USD 163 million.

  • The funds will be utilized to enhance and extend its product offerings for both compliance and cybersecurity.

  • Last year, Vanta recorded more than USD 10 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and had more than 1,000 customers. Currently, the company serves more than 3,000 customers and has 250 employees. Vanta is not profitable, but it has been profitable occasionally in the past. The company is currently focussing on sustainable growth over profitability. The company plans to expand its team and it is currently hiring 47 employees across several departments.
