Pediatric telepsychiatry platform DotCom has announced its acquisition of Wolf+Friends, a community platform for parents raising children with special needs. The acquisition marks the first transaction for DotCom therapy, and it was carried out for an undisclosed amount.
Following the acquisition, Wolf+Friends will relaunch its platform and mobile app in the summer to include new features such as support groups led by mental health professionals partnered with DotCom Therapy, educational content, and expert questions and answer forums.
Wolf+Friends will continue to operate as an independent brand of DotCom Therapy, with founders Gena Mann and Carissa Tozzi staying with the company as advisors.
DotCom therapy provides online speech therapy, counseling, school psychology, and occupational therapy to children with mental and behavioral health disorders. Its platform also provides virtual consultations with therapists. The company has collaborated with over 250 schools in over 35 states.
Wolf+Friends is a community network that aims to support parents raising children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), anxiety, developmental delays, mental health difficulties, and learning disabilities. The platform currently includes services to find therapists, educational podcasts, and a retail store for toys and household items for children.
