GumGum, an AdTech firm specializing in providing a contextual analysis intelligence platform, announced that it had received two additional patents on ad-insertion technology for overlaying ads.
The patents enable GumGum to automate the ad-insertion process where ads can be overlaid within video streams for ad-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) and ad-supported streaming TV.
The firm claims that overlay ads are effective on channels like connected TV (CTV) and offers publishers additional monetization options across video streams.
