Transfr VR, a provider of virtual reality (VR) simulations to imitate on-the-job training, raised USD 35 million in a Series B funding round led by Lumos Capital Group with participation from existing investors Firework Ventures and Album VC as well as new investor Spring Tide Capital. This brings its total funding to USD 47 million.
The company intends to use the funds for expansion into regional markets and industries that are affected by skill gaps and unemployment.
The platform currently serves more than 10,000 users across 300 companies, including the Wallace State Community College, Arkansas Office of Skills Development, National Association of Manufacturers/Manufacturing Institute, and Mazda Toyota Manufacturing.
