Vision Greens, a Canadian hydroponic vertical farming startup, has raised USD 7 million in a funding round. Investors included companies from Canada’s grocery segment.
The funds will be used to expand the company’s capacity to 700,000 pounds of fresh produce per year and scale its distribution network to leading grocers and meal kit companies across Canada. The funds will also support the company’s goal of being the number one company for vertically grown lettuce in Canada.
