Kvanted Ventures and ENV were the co-leads of this round, with additional participation from NewAlpha Asset Management and various business angels.</p>

 <p>The funds raised through this round will be mainly used by the company to fuel its international expansion and to further develop its Climate ERP solution.</p>
 
 <p>Established in 2020, Cozero offers a Climate Action Platform which assists companies in tracking, reducing, and reporting their carbon emissions. Through this solution, over 70 companies have been able to marry their environmental progress with their business objectives. Companies that employ the solution include key players such as Maersk, Mammut, Nippon Express Europe (NX Group), Funke, and Vodafone.</p>

 <p>In this collaborative effort, Shopify will be handing over USD 3.37 million to Pachama through its Sustainability Fund. This fund will be utilized to reforest around 200 acres of land. Over a span of 17 years, it is anticipated to extract 45,000 tons of carbon.</p>

 <p>The key points of the final rule include:</p>

  <li><p>Public companies must disclose any climate-related risks deemed to have a <b>material impact</b>. It is expected to affect roughly 2,800 US companies and about 600 non-US companies.</p></li>
  <li><p>The final rule prioritizes the disclosure of scope 1 and 2 emissions, while the suggested disclosure of scope 3 emissions has been <b>omitted</b>.</p></li>
  <li><p>Public companies must <b>disclose</b> capitalized costs, expenditure expenses, charges, and losses due to severe weather events and physical climate risks.</p></li>
 </ul>
 <p>The aforementioned SEC timeline for climate risk will be implemented in 2025, and the greenhouse gas emissions timeline will start in 2026.</p>
