Piestro partners with Wing Zone to install pizza-making robots in Southern California

Partnerships

 • Piestro, a pizza-making robot developer, has partnered with Wing Zone Labs, franchisee of Wing Zone fast-casual restaurants, to install its robots at 20+ Wing Zone restaurants in Southern California. This marks the first non-pizza brand to partner with Piestro.

 • The companies also revealed plans to expand coverage to include all Wing Zone locations in the future.

Analyst QuickTake: Today’s news adds Wing Zone to Piestro’s growing list of commercial customers including 800 Degrees Pizza and Carbone Restaurant Group (CRG). Piestro also has its Series A crowdfunding campaign open since February—which the company will be closing in another month. On a separate note, Wing Zone has been seen increasingly investing in restaurant robotics in recent times. In fact, the company partnered with kitchen automation startup Miso Robotics just last month to install the latter’s burger-making robots at upcoming Wing Zone locations.
