Stoïk, a cyber insurance and security startup, has raised EUR 11 million (USD 11.5 million) in a Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) with participation from Alven, Anthemis Group, and angel investors including Henri De Castries (former CEO of AXA) and Julian Teicke (CEO of wefox). Stoïk’s total funding stands at nearly EUR 15 million (USD 15.7 million).
The funds will be used to grow its team in order to accelerate product development in France and expand into new markets across Europe.
Stoïk currently has 200 active brokers on its platform and expects this to grow to 1,000 by the end of this year. The company increased its employee headcount from 12 to 28 over the past six months and plans to double this over the next year across its sales, cyber, marketing, and product departments.
