Circ (previously known as Tyton Biosciences), a Virginia-based startup that recycles textile waste, has raised USD 30 million in a Series B funding round led by the Bill Gates-founded Breakthrough Energy Ventures. New investors such as clothing retailer Inditex and textile manufacturer Milliken also joined the round of funding.
The funding will support the company in scaling its flexible hydrothermal processing technology, building larger-scale facilities, launching news products, and in hiring engineering, R&D, management, and business development staff.
