Hydrow launches Wave to expand product offerings

Product updates

 • Hydrow, a connected rower manufacturer, has launched “Hydrow Wave,” its latest low-cost addition to connected rower product offerings.

 • The Hydrow Wave rowing machine has a compact product design and is 30% lighter than its standard rower model. The rower comes equipped with patented computer-controlled dynamic resistance, electromagnetic braking, polyester webbing, and a custom-designed spring assembly.

 • Wave is currently priced in the range of USD 1,495–1,895 and is priced approximately 40% less than the standard Hydrow rower, which retails at USD 2,495+. The product is targeted at rowing enthusiasts who prefer an affordable, less space-consuming in-house rowing machine.

Analyst QuickTake: When comparing Hydrow’s new rower with other connected rowers in the market, it is priced in line with CityRow’s lower-end product “CityRow Go Classic,” but retails at lower prices compared to most peer offerings priced over USD 2,000. Furthermore, Hydrow’s product launch comes ahead of Peloton’s rower, which was announced in May this year.
