Arctic Farming, a Finnish-based startup offering plug-and-play aeroponic vertical farming solutions, has raised EUR 150,000 (~USD 152,922) in a seed funding round.
The funding will support the commercialization efforts, including delivering the first vertical farming modules to customers in the Helsinki region by August 2022. It will also support product development and international expansion.
The company also reported that it had spent the last two years focusing on R&D and is now ready to commercialize following the pandemic. It has also successfully grown more than a dozen crops including fresh vegetables, herbs, and soybeans using its technology.
