Riversimple plans to build manufacturing facility in Aberdeen

Geographic expansion

  • Riversimple, a UK-based startup developing hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV), has plans to deploy a manufacturing facility in the north-east of Scotland.

  • The new 150,000-square-foot facility is expected to produce 5,000 vehicles per annum. Riversimple will onboard supply chain companies and other original equipment manufacturers (OEM) to support the material supply for its new facility.

Analyst QuickTake: The company is beta testing a small fleet of “Rasa,” its two-seater hydrogen cars at its research and development facility in Wales, UK and has a beta version car under development. Riversimple also plans to develop a five-seater family vehicle and a lightweight commercial delivery van powered by hydrogen.
