Hydra Energy and First Truck Center partner to provide hydrogen conversion service

Partnerships

  • Hydra Energy, a Canadian company that develops hydrogen conversion kits for truck fleets, has partnered with First Truck Center, a Canadian vehicle dealer group owned by Freightliner and Western Star.

  • Under the agreement, First Truck Center will provide feedback on Hydra’s four-day installation training module completed by the mechanics to officially become Hydra conversion kit installers.

  • In addition, First Truck Center will also provide maintenance services and support Hydra’s hydrogen-based solution for fleet customers. Hydra in return will provide hydrogen conversion training and documentation, including emissions and reliability reports to First Truck Center mechanics.

  • Furthermore, the two companies will be supported by the Center for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE), founded by the Government of British Columbia and Shell.
