• Monitoring and measuring tool provider Ellipses Health and digital health and remote monitoring provider Ceras Health have partnered to use biomarkers derived from patients’ voices for mental health care on Ceras’ platform. Through this partnership Ellipses Health will apply its AI and deep learning technology to analyze short voice samples from patients to create a clinical decision support tool biomarker. In support, Ceras Health will use its clinical monitoring and health data analytics platform to create real-time severity indicators for anxiety and depression to improve the care provided to patients in triage. 

• This partnership and its solution will hope to cover more than 18 million Medicare patients with mental health conditions. 

Analyst Quicktake :  Mental health conditions are surging in the US, with individuals reporting mental health issues almost twice as much as they were in 2019. The National Alliance of Mental Health has estimated that 55% of individuals with mental health conditions are not receiving treatment and that there is a projected shortage of 30,000 psychiatrists in the US. Partnerships such as the one Ellipses Health and Ceras Health just signed can help ease this burden.
