CleanRobotics raises USD 4.5 million in Series A funding

Funding

  • Pennsylvania-based CleanRobotics, which offers a robotic system called TrashBot that uses cameras, sensors, and AI to analyze waste and identify recyclables from the waste sent to landfills, has raised USD 4.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Melco International Development Ltd. SOSV/HAX, Undivided VC, and Longmont Evergreen Opportunity Fund also participated in the round.

  • The funds will be used to support the company’s plans to produce “hundreds” of its robotic systems by increasing hiring and improving manufacturing and R&D.

  • The company also reported that it is looking to partner with companies in China, Australia, and Singapore to expand its presence.
