 <p>Established in 2020, Renewaball produces the first recyclable tennis and padel balls globally. Apart from recycling standard tennis and padel balls, the company makes fully recyclable products. These balls are covered with bio-felt cloth made of 100% organic wool and cotton sourced within Europe. They do not contain any polyester or nylon, preventing the release of microplastics during play.</p>

Sunnking rebrands as Sunnking Sustainable Solutions

 <p>The European Union (EU) is partnering with India to support start-ups working on battery recycling technologies for electric vehicles (EVs). </p>
 <p>This collaboration will take place at a matchmaking event in June 2024, under the auspices of the India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC). Six startups, three from India and three from the EU, will be chosen from a shortlist of 12. They will have the chance to visit their counterparts' regions to learn and increase collaboration.</p>

EU collaborates with India on EV battery recycling

 <p>Malaysia-based developer Graphjet Technology, known for producing graphite and graphene from agricultural waste, plans to invest $150-200 million to construct an artificial graphite production facility in Nevada. In addition to this investment, they are also looking into other financing options.</p>
 <p>The company states that it anticipates the plant beginning operations in 2026. Notably, it will have the ability to recycle up to 30,000 metric tons of palm kernel material per year. The production output will be 10,000 metric tons of battery-grade artificial graphite annually, sufficient to support the production of batteries for more than 100,000 electric vehicles. The project is estimated to create roughly 500 jobs.</p>
 <p>Established in 2019, Graphjet Technology is a manufacturer of metals based in Malaysia specializing in artificial graphite, graphene, and anode materials made from graphene. This facility, equipped with upgraded equipment and pollution-control technology, will manufacture recycled billet and sheet ingot. The expected commencement of production is in mid-2025. Spectro Alloys raises USD 71 million for facility expansion

 <p>ERI, a leading electronic waste recycler based in the US, has teamed up with Call2Recycle, a Canadian company specializing in e-bike and household battery recycling, and Staples Inc., a prominent office supply retailer. The trio have launched the first at-home battery recycling initiative, timed to coincide with Earth Month in April 2024.</p>
 
 <p>As a part of the initiative, Staples will be offering customers free battery recycling boxes, provided that supplies last. These boxes also come with instructions on how to safely store used batteries. Once the boxes have been filled, customers can return them to Staples for recycling. ERI and Call2Recycle will then recycle the collected items, with the aim of salvaging valuable metals and materials and reintegrating them into the circular economy.</p>

 <p>American Battery Technology Company (ABAT), a Nasdaq-listed integrated battery materials supplier, has secured an additional USD 40.5 million in tax credits under the Qualifying Advanced Energy Project Credits program (48C).</p>
 <p>These funds will be utilized to speed up the construction of its planned large-scale recycling facility and strengthen the domestic US supply chain for recycled battery metals.</p>
